Here is Richard’s story…

Richard would like to say a big thank you for the Elkhorn Resort gift from your Po$$ibility grant. He had an awesome time, especially the boat ride, hot tub, seeing a bear, a few deer and a coyote. The weather was perfect. Awesome gift.

Here is Chantal’s story…

Hi it’s Chantal and on October 4/2019 my mom picked me up to start our trip to Kelowna BC to celebrate her 65th birthday!

We drove as far as the Best Western hotel in Swift Current Saskatchewan - the journey was long but roads and weather were great.  We had a good sleep, got up to venture to Airdrie Alberta to eat at Swiss Chalet with my great uncle Ken and Lloyd and Heather who used to live across from my mother in Brandon.  We had a great visit lots of laughs.

My great aunt Cleo was in a hospital in Calgary, so we visit her and had a great time at her family’s place. We left for Kelowna in the morning to get my uncle Laverne where we would be staying.  The traffic was not busy but the mountains were amazing.  We made it there in time for supper for my mother’s 65th birthday.  Uncle lv made her favourite dish, salmon steaks with a lovely b-cake.  She was very surprised we had done the plan without her knowing.  The rain kept us in door but we had a great time.
The animals were great to hang out with and some plants needed to be brought in.  We made our family traditional Belgium cookies one evening.  We drove to the casinos and mall in Vernon BC where we got lucky and lots of fun.  We listened to the news to find out a bad storm hit Manitoba. We were thankful to miss it.  My sister Marsha and her family met us for thanksgiving dinner. Uncle lv had to go back to the vet clinic to work so we left to get back to Calgary.  But we had a great holiday.

I thank the possibility grant committee for choosing me so l could surprise my mother who helps me so much.
