LIFE and In the Company of Friends

In the Company of Friends (ICOF)…

is a program option of the Department of Family Services and Housing for individuals who qualify for supported living funds.  Participants of ICOF receive and manage their own funding directly from the Department.  Funds are used to help each person move into their own home and engage in productive and challenging daytime activities.  Each participant of ICOF receives assistance from a formal Support Network comprised of community, family and friends.

Living In Friendship Everyday Inc (LIFE)…

is a non-profit organization that was developed in 2000 to provide guidance, resources, training, and information to participants in the ICOF program.  The Department of Family Services and Housing contracts LIFE to ensure each participant in ICOF has a strong and functioning Support Network that supports his/her desires and autonomy.  LIFE is responsible for ensuring that the integrity of the ICOF program model is upheld at all times.
