A support network is a group of people that a person chooses to assist in and be part of their life. Support networks are unique and diverse based on who the person is at the center. The support network works together to listen and support, share their opinions, skills and knowledge, build relationships and assist in creating and maintaining a meaningful life for the person at the center.
Establishing connected relationships and a foundation for supported decision making are the main goals of support networks.
We have highlighted a variety of organizations and would be happy to provide further assistance in finding additional resources.
